The .UK domain name registration is governed by Nominet – see nominet.org.uk – the not-for-profit organisation controlling the registration of .co.uk, .org.uk, .me.uk and other .uk domains.
After initial registration of an available domain, it is your to use for 2 years after which you must renew your registration (for another 2 years) or let the domain drop back to the open market for someone else to register.
Following a suspended status period, your domain will be dropped if you have failed to renew it.
You can check the expected drop date of any UK domain at the following site: Drop Dates
We post on this site domains that have been dropped by their previous owners so that you can now register them, if you are quick enough! They are release for re-registration on a first come, first served basis so if you see one you want be sure to register it right away. You can do that HERE
